Whāriki he aka hui: COVID-19 vaccination for people with mental health and substance use issues

Following the news that tāngata whai ora are now included in priority group 3 for COVID-19 vaccinations, Whāriki hosts Dr. Edwin Reynolds, Medical Adviser to the Immunisation Advisory Centre, Principal Advisor to the COVID Vaccine Immunisation Programme and Senior Medical Officer at Auckland Regional Public Health Service, who will discuss the vaccination programme with Taimi Allan, CEO at Changing Minds, the lived experience advocacy organisation. They will cover general Pfizer/mRNA vaccine education and FAQ on how people with mental health and substance use concerns or on specific medication can be vaccinated, as well as answering questions about the best ways to support an effective and equitable immunisation programme for tāngata whai ora and whānau.
